About the organizers of the event

AIM

The aim of the international partnering meeting is to facilitate the setup of FP7 project consortia and in particular the collaboration between Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) and projects' coordinators.
The event is focused on the first opportunities in FP7 calls in the areas especially relevant to the forest-based and related industries. The exact priorities are to be defined as soon as the exact contents of the first call(s) of FP7 are available.

HOW TO GET TO LAHTI

From Helsinki-Vantaa Airport to Lahti is ca. 100 km.

TRANSPORTATION

By car
You can get to Lahti via the Helsinki – Lahti highway in only an hour, 100 km. From Tampere
to Lahti, it is 128 km, from Jyväskylä 170 km and from Kouvola 59 km.

By plane
A bus departs from the Helsinki-Vantaa airport to Lahti and vice versa every day, every hour

By train
The railway station in Helsinki is located at Mannerheiminkatu 15.
Ticket Sales, tel. 0307 20900, international and special tickets tel. 0307 29246, railway station services and services for the disabled tel. 0307 29217. The shorter railway for Helsinki-Hyvinkää-Lahti that will be available for traffic in 2006 will make train connections faster; when the new railway is taken into use, you can get from Helsinki to Lahti in only 50 minutes.

Traffic services to Exhibition Centre
Exhibition Centre of Lahti is located close to the city centre, next to Sports Centre and ski jumping hills. During exhibition there are signs along the streets guiding to Exhibition Centre.
