Besides its research, development and training activities, the TTS provides information services. Its staff of 220 is divided between the Head Office in Rajamäki, Research and Education centre in Rajamäki, Helsinki, Vantaa, Hämeenlinna, Kouvola and Sammatti, all in Southern Finland.

The TTS serves companies, information services, government authorities, private and institutional households and research and educational institutions.
